Our Mission
To provide men the opportunity to gain an awareness of their own violence, to take action, and practice cooperative skills in a safe environment, and enable men to change their behaviors, attitudes, and hearts.
|
Awareness + Action = Change
What is Violence
|
Why am I Violent
|
Violence is any thought or action that is oppressive in
intent, delivery, and/or result. |
To control others; to maintain a sense of superiority over others.
|
Accountability and Advocacy
The VlP-ManAlive Accountability Advocacy Behavior/Belief Re-Education Program places ending his violence first on his agenda. It teaches him the principles of accountability and advocacy and how to apply them first to himself to stop his violence, and then to the community at large to stop its support for his abusive behaviors.

I never thought I was violent. Not until I became aware that I was controlling others to get what I want. Power comes from unity and equality, not from coercing others to get what I want.
